Whether it's your first time voting or you're a seasoned awards follower, here's everything you need to know about the UK Theme Park Awards 2026.
What are the UK Theme Park Awards?
The UK Theme Park Awards celebrate the best of the UK's theme park and attractions industry. From thrilling rides to family shows, these prestigious annual awards recognise the theme parks and experiences that have made the biggest impression on visitors across the country.
Who runs the UK Theme Park Awards?
The UK Theme Park Awards are independently organised, funded by our sponsors, and open to all UK-based theme parks. Part of the Theme Park Network.
How does the whole process work?
The awards run in four stages each year: first we announce the categories, then the public submit nominations, our judges refine these into a final shortlist, which is then followed by a public voting period in the summer. The results are announced in September at our awards ceremony.
How are the categories decided?
Every year we put forward a carefully curated list of award categories, designed to showcase a wide range of subjects and ensure that both large and small parks receive the recognition they deserve. To keep the awards fresh and inclusive, some categories may change from year to year, allowing us to celebrate a diverse array of achievements across the industry.
How are the nominees chosen?
Once the award categories are announced, we invite the public to submit their nominations. The most popular submissions in each category form a longlist, from which our panel of expert judges select the final nominees.
Can I still submit a nomination?
The nominations phase is now closed. The final nominees are currently being selected and will be ready for the public vote, which opens on 20th July 2026.
My favourite park/ride/person isn't on the nominees list - why not?
Nominees are determined from public nominations, with the final shortlists selected by our judging panel. If your favourite didn't make it this time, look out for the nominations phase next year.
When does public voting open?
Public voting opens on 20th July 2026.
How do I vote?
Once voting opens on 20th July, you can vote directly on this website. Simply browse the categories and select your favourite in each one.
Is voting free?
Yes, voting is completely free and open to everyone. You will need to register to vote.
How many categories can I vote in?
You can vote in as many categories as you like. We encourage you to vote in every category you feel qualified to judge based on your own visits and experiences.
Can I vote more than once in the same category?
No - each person may cast one vote per category. Duplicate or fraudulent votes will be removed.
When does voting close?
Voting closes on the 28th August 2026.
How are the winners decided?
The awards are determined using a 50/50 combination of public votes and scores from our judging panel. This balanced approach ensures a comprehensive and fair assessment of the best the industry has to offer.
How do you ensure the judging panel is fair and unbiased?
Our judges have been carefully selected, with a broad range of backgrounds across the theme park industry, to create a diverse and balanced panel. All content creators serving as judges are ineligible for award nominations, eliminating any conflict of interest.
Why isn't my favourite content creator nominated?
All the content creators that have previously won an award have been inducted into our Content Creator Hall of Fame and are not eligible to be nominated this year. The finalists will be selected from the content creators that have received the most nominations, so your favourite may not have received enough nominations this year.
Can a theme park win more than one award?
Yes - theme parks and attractions are eligible to be nominated and win across multiple categories.
