The race to crown the finest theme parks in the country has officially begun. Voting for the UK Theme Park Awards 2026 is now open, launching with an ambitious nationwide tour designed to rally the public behind their favourite attractions.
The promotional campaign kicked off at Crealy Theme Park & Resort in Devon, where Lawrence Roots, founder of the Theme Park Network, joined forces with resort staff to mark the occasion. Armed with a large 'Vote Now' placard, Roots has embarked on a mammoth road trip around the UK to highlight the nominated parks for 2026.
A Celebration Of Quality And Innovation
Now in its seventh year, the annual UK Theme Park Awards serve as the industry's main benchmark for quality, innovation, and unforgettable experiences. The accolades recognise everything from world-class rollercoasters and rides to exceptional customer service and spectacular seasonal events.
"The UK is home to some of the most creative, thrilling, and family-friendly attractions in the world," said Lawrence Roots during the launch. "Over the next few weeks, we want to put a spotlight on the incredible hard work of staff across all nominated parks and make it easier than ever for the public to support their favourites."
The nationwide 15-day theme park tour will visit a diverse mix of nominees over the coming weeks. Stops include major contenders such as Paultons Park, Alton Towers Resort, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures Resort, LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, Drayton Manor Resort, and Blackpool's Pleasure Beach Resort, along with 30 other regional theme parks.
How The Winners Are Decided
The final results are determined by a 50/50 split. Thousands of public votes will be combined with the scores of a dedicated panel consisting of 11 industry expert judges.
The public voting window is open from today until Friday, 28th August 2026. The winners will be revealed during a live awards ceremony on 10th September 2026, hosted at Blackpool's Pleasure Beach Resort.
